In this post, I will be sharing the story of Mr Elton Ng.
He has a business idea. He has a website. But he wasn't getting the numbers and attention he wanted.
Back then, he has only one product, selling Novik Gloves. After he attended my Make Your Own FB Ads workshop, he became confident. He understood what it takes to market online using FB ads.
Here is his story....
## I attended Make Your Own FB Ads workshop last year. I am doing e-commerce business for motorcycle's apparels and aftermarket parts. My Facebook page is www.facebook.com/motologystore , my website is www.motologystore.com and my name is Elton Ng.
It started with a single brand, Novik Gloves. I have always want to expand my business, not limiting to one product. I really like the idea of motorcycle apparel e-commerce set up.
With the convenience of clicking on the computer or mobile phone and have it delivered to your door step. All in the comfort of your home.
Over a short period of time after attending the workshop, I managed to bring in different brands and higher quantity, providing services and matching customers' needs into one single web, www.motologystore.com
I started from a single brand FB page, promoting Novik Gloves only, and later migrated to an official and more streamlined Facebook page that now provides, sells and serves more than 700 Hundred SKUs.
Some of the challenges I had while managing my Facebook page were :
- Am I reaching the right audience ?
- How does this Facebook Ad thingy actually work ?
When I attended the workshop, Nazrin taught about reaching the right audience and targeting, and with Nazrin introduction of Canva.com, it certainly add value and gave my photos more professional look.
He also taught of "keeping your page alive". It did not meant that I have to post every hour or even daily, but CONSISTENCY is the key. Something that I can managed and be consistent about it. Over posting and under posting will "kill" the page.
Nazrin's most impactful words to me are :
- You as a receiver, how do you like to read the ad from the pages ?
- How would you like the ads of your interest speak to you ?
With these, I always apply a "Problem - Solution - Service" approach for my FB ads.
Example from one of my top performing FB ads, promoting motorcycle raincoats,
- THE PROBLEM = always find it hard to step of the house due to rain or errands ?
- THE SOLUTION = We bring one of the market best value for money rain coat,
- THE SERVICE = We will deliver to your door step. So you can continue your errands or avoid getting drench while going to buy a rain coat.
With this approach applied, most of our targeted customers that are stuck with the "PROBLEM" got solved by our "SOLUTION" who will benefit by "THE SERVICE" we provided.
But of course not every ad or post will give monetary returns. Some are for marketing purposes to bring more awareness for my business or certain products and brands.
My only hope is Facebook will be more lenient on posting limitations like the 20% RULE for words on picture and also the amount of audience you can reach without boosting.
And I certainly hope to attend a refresher or guidance course by Nazrin to see again or learn more where I am missing and lacking. ##
I sincerely hope that Elton's story can provide inspirations for your own online Facebook marketing efforts.
